Categories: ,

Beautiful rare pale green opaline sea glass, with a yellow blue hue, especially hand collected by me from Folkestone and set into sterling silver. The sea glass measures approximately 10mm at its widest point. It has a 1.5mm wide hammered band, size T and hand stamped with .925.

All sea glass is individually unique and has been tumbled in the ocean for 20-200 years! So much history behind sea glass as you start to unravel the mystery of where it came from.

A perfect gift allowing anyone to carry a part of the ocean with them wherever they go!

Each ring comes in a Silver Shores cotton pouch.

These very rare pieces of sea glass are called ‘opaline’ sea glass. They have a glorious yellow and blue hue. Truly stunning and similar to opals. Opaline glass is also a decorative style of glass made in France from 1800 to the 1890s, though it reached its peak of popularity during the reign of Napoleon III in the 1850s and 1860s. As I collected this sea glass on the Kent coast, this could be opaline glass from France!
